Latin Jazz, with Afro Bop Alliance

Award-winning Afro Bop Alliance explores the rhythms of many Latin cultures and fuses them together to create a unique sound. This talented septet has performed with their Afro-Cuban and Brazilian styles at a variety of music festivals and the Kennedy Center, and won the 2006 Washington Area Music Association for Best Latin Recording.

The Buck Hill Quartet

Veteran saxophonist Buck Hill, famously known as "The Jazz Postman," leads The Buck Hill Quartet in a performance of jazz standards. Hill has played at prestigious venues around the world and has performed and recorded with the likes of Miles Davis and Cannonball Adderly.

The Smithsonian Jazz Café is a program of The Smithsonian Associates, Smithsonian Folkways, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of American History. Since 2001, featuring the finest in national artists, local favorites & Hot Latin Jazz!
